OPTIONAL SIGHTSEEING & EXCURSIONS

With Insight, you will enjoy many of Europe's famous highlights as included features of your tour - at no extra cost. However, there is an exciting array of additional excursions which are made available to help turn an already outstanding experience into the trip of a lifetime. These are entirely optional and are offered to you at competitive prices. They are all bookable through your Tour Director at the commencement of your tour as many of them are planned to coincide with the best highlights available at the time of your visit.

The following list is general as it would be impossible to operate all excursions on any one tour. The actual tours to be offered will be advised to you by your Tour Director. All prices are quoted in Swiss Francs (SF) and Euros, where appropriate, which have been rounded for convenience. Payment can be made in cash or by the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard or American Express. All credit card transactions will be charged in Euros. For payments in other currencies your Tour Director will advise the relevant exchange rates at the commencement of your tour.

HOW TO BUDGET FOR OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS:

This list is for guidance only. The final list of optional excursions to be offered during your tour will be given to you by your Tour Director.To allow you to participate in a selection of these additional evenings of dinner/ entertainment and special interest sightseeing excursions, please budget for an approximate cost of € 45 per person per day.

INN01 TYROLEAN EVENING

Enjoy a lively evening of traditional entertainment, featuring dancers in national costume, yodeling and entertainment typical of the life, crafts and traditions of the Tyrolean people. (Two drinks included).€ 39

INN07 TYROLEAN HORSE & CARRIAGE RIDE

We visit a typical mountain village and then enjoy a horse drawn carriage ride which takes us through the mountains and valleys of the Tyrol. We make a stop in a quaint tavern for a drink, before returning to Innsbruck. € 34 (Occasionally this tour may be offered with dinner . € 55).

The true beauty of Lake Lucerne is revealed as we cruise the tranquil waters and enjoy the stunning scenery of snow-capped mountains, green pastures and dense forests. SF 37

After dinner why not experience the traditions that make the Alps so unique - yodeling, Alpine horn blowing, and that special Alpine music. Sample also the Swiss national dish, `cheese fondue`, accompanied by two drinks of your choice. SF 67

SMV02 BERNINA - EXPRESS EXCURSION

Enjoy one of the most exciting train rides in Switzerland as you cross the Bernina Pass to the Alp Grum. Spectacular views of the Alpine peaks, glaciers, waterfalls, green valleys and mountain villages, then we descend to Poschiavo to re-board our touring coach. SF 50

A chance to meet the Swiss, as local farmers take us on a delightful countryside tour in horse drawn carriages. Enjoy stunning scenery as we trot around a typical rural community, en route to a local farm where local drinks and snacks will be served. SF65

A visit to see the fabulous Imperial Treasury of the Austrian and Holy Roman Empire or the Crypts and Vaults of the Imperial Family and the world famous Opera House (when accessible). € 36

VLL03 SLOVENIA EXCURSION

We drive through the modern Karawanken tunnel to Slovenia, the first country of former Yugoslavia to gain its independence. Visit the beautiful lake resort of Bled, where we take a traditional boat ride to the island. Visit the pilgrimage church and ring the famous 'wishing bell' for your personal wish. Then we have coffee and a delicious pastry in the Villa Bled, the former hunting castle of Marshall Tito. (Visas for Slovenia may be required by some passengers - please check before departure).€ 38
